In response to Apple’s recent legal request to see some of Samsung’s yet to be unreleased products (in response to Apple’s belief that Samsung’s products are aesthetically too similar to the iPhone), Samsung has returned the favor.

This incredible tool was created by Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey who’s new company Square is providing its users with an innovative way to accept payments pretty much anywhere you are.

According to Square’s website:

Square enables you to accept credit cards with just your phone or tablet. The app is free. The card reader is free. The fee is only 2.75% per swipe, with no monthly fees or commitments.

Square is…

• A taxi driver who wants to get customers in and out faster while reducing the clutter of paper receipts.
• A food truck that wants a simple and easy way to accept payments on the move.
• A small pastry shop tired of the complexity and high rates incurred by their credit card machine.
• A photographer who wants to get paid on the spot instead of waiting weeks for checks to arrive.
• A craft vendor who doesn’t want to pay a monthly fee for a merchant account since they only sell seasonally.

Square is you when the answer to the question, “Do you accept cards?” is “Yes”.

Also, if you’re a US citizen you get one of these neat tools for free. Just go to their website and sign up and they’ll ship one your way!

This is by far one of the most promising and interesting videos we’ve seen in months. We could ramble about how this might be perfect for the iPhone 5, or how Apple should look into getting these guys on their team…but the video itself says it all. We got a bunch of emails from people saying that they really enjoyed our ‘image of the day’ from yesterday, so we thought that we’d try and make this a regular feature on our site. Obviously the images will be related to Apple, but they’ll probably drift away from the rest of the site in its focus on the iPhone 5 specifically.

We saw this picture on 9to5Mac and thought that it was truly spectacular. This definitely isn’t a fashion faux-pas!

We had a feeling that an iPhone 5 with a ‘few upgrades’ (as many analysts put it) definitely wouldn’t have anything dramatically new, like an e-wallet.
